On behalf of CLV Group and InterRent, we are truly in awe of the generous support that the 25th annual Mike McCann Charity Golf Tournament received. With $2,359,000 raised, we would like to thank each and every person who joined us on the greens or supported this special anniversary event from afar.

CLV Group is proud to round the donation to $2.5 million in honour of the event’s 25th year, bringing the cumulative total to more than $12 million donated since the tournament began in 1998.

A Legacy of Giving Back

The highly anticipated Mike McCann Charity Golf Tournament, hosted annually in Ottawa by CLV Group and InterRent REIT, is a cornerstone event in our dedication to community support. Established in 1998 as the Ron Kolbus Memorial Tournament, the fundraiser has quickly evolved into one of Canada’s largest private charity events. Recently renamed in honour of Mike McCann, a beloved friend of the company, the tournament stands as a testament to his passion for philanthropy and his legacy of making a difference by supporting more than 25 deserving charities annually.

Honouring Mike McCann

Mike McCann was not just a businessman, but a pillar of our community. As the owner of local advertising firm Velocity Media, and a prominent figure in Ottawa, his legacy extends far beyond the boardroom. Friends and family describe Mike as having a truly once-in-a-lifetime charm and charisma.

Mike was incredibly passionate about our annual golf tournament and was instrumental to its execution throughout the nearly 20 years he spent planning it. His smile was always radiant and contagious first thing in the morning on tournament day, inspiring and motivating those around him. He made a lasting impact on everyone he met, and we seek to embody his spirit within the tournament each year – an impactful, memorable fundraiser with an electric energy.

More than a Tournament

With the collective efforts of sponsors, industry partners, charities, and attendees from across Canada, our once modest tournament has now raised over $12.5 million for the communities we operate in. At our 25th annual tournament in September of 2025, we achieved a record-setting $2.5 million total.

Every dollar raised goes directly to the charities supported, ensuring that 100% of contributions will have a meaningful impact on communities across Ottawa, Southwestern Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.
