Notice to Vacate
Planning to move? We’re here to guide you through the process.
Residents must provide written notice in the form of a completed N9: Tenant’s Notice to End the Tenancy document at least 60 days before your move-out date, aligning with the first of the month.
All leaseholders are required to complete and sign the N9 if they wish to vacate at the end of their lease term or, if the lease is month-to-month, at the end of the 60 day notice period.
Lease Termination Guidelines:
The Company will make every reasonable effort to ensure that its policies, practices, and procedures are consistent with the principles of accessibility by:
- Fixed-Term Lease (12+ Months, No Renewal Sent): Written notice 3-6 months before lease end.
- Short-Term Lease (<12 Months, No Renewal Sent): Written notice 1-2 months before lease end.
If You Received a Lease Renewal Offer
- If CLV Group has sent you a lease renewal offer, you must provide written notice to terminate within 30 days of receiving the offer.
- If notice is not provided within this period, your lease will automatically renew under the terms stated in the renewal offer.
How to Submit Your Notice:
Please reach out to your Community Relations Coordinator. A completed N9: Tenant’s Notice to End the Tenancy form will be required from all leaseholders. Your form can be sent via:
- Fax
- Mail to CLV Group Head Office

Ottawa, ON, K2P 1Z2
Your notice must include:
✅ Full names of all leaseholders and guarantors
✅ Building address & unit number
✅ Lease end date
