Gladstone & Loretta
Project Overview
Gladstone & Loretta will be a mixed-use, high-rise development located at the intersection of some of Ottawa’s most culturally-vibrant neighbourhoods. With immediate access to the Trillium transit line and Multi-Use Pathway, Gladstone & Loretta is ideally located and set to become a transit and pedestrian-oriented hub for the community while preserving much of its original charm.
A Cultural Hub
Originally built in 1924, the Standard Bread Building is a piece of Ottawa’s heritage that will be incorporated into the greater Gladstone & Loretta development. The old brick-clad concrete building will be adapted for use as a cultural hub with a variety of creative spaces for artists from around the community while preserving the character of the over 100-year-old building.
Gladstone & Loretta is situated within walking distance to Ottawa’s increasingly sought-after Hintonburg, Little Italy, and Chinatown neighbourhoods. The site is also just a few short minutes from the new Ottawa Hospital, a massive $2.4 billion medical centre. Set to be fully completed by 2028, the hospital will feature state-of-the art facilities for healthcare treatment and research. The adjacent Carling transit station and Trillium Pathway will provide quick and convenient access to the hospital, and many surrounding amenities.
