The Burlington Community Foundation receives $100,000 from the Mike McCann Memorial Charity Golf Tournament

The Mike McCann Memorial Charity Golf Tournament raised a total of $758,000. It is now time to give back to the charities that were chosen as recipients. Our first donation, in the amount of $100,000, goes to the Burlington Community Foundation.

The Burlington Community Foundation works to give a hand in the community of Burlington wherever the need is most critical. The Foundation distributes its donations to many charities such as health related charities, affordable housing, youth centres, food banks, social & artistic groups and more. One of its main priorities is to set a legacy: by setting up funds, the interest that is generated will ensure everlasting help to the community – also known as sustainable giving.

We met this morning with Colleen Mulholland, President and CEO, Lori Heron, Manager of Marketing & Communications and their team to show our appreciation of their efforts within the community and present them with their cheque.

An inspired example of philanthropic leadership, CLV Group’s generous donation of $100,000 will fuel Burlington Foundation’s vital work at the local level supporting critical needs. From the challenges of poverty, mental health, vulnerable youth and seniors, and lack of affordable housing, CLV Group’s commitment to partnering with us to support those most vulnerable in Burlington will support the future of our community for years to come. Our hearts are filled with gratitude.
– Colleen Mulholland, President and CEO, Burlington Foundation

We are so proud to be able to give to such a great cause that will have an everlasting impact on the Burlington Community.
