Over $100,000 in Personal Protective Equipment Donated to Multiple Organizations in Ontario and Quebec

At CLV Group, contributing to the communities we operate in is part of our core values. We love to get involved throughout the year but find it particularly important in difficult periods like the one the world is facing right now. In order to help different organizations in Ontario and Quebec during the COVID-19 crisis, we donated a total of over $100,000 in personal protective equipment.

In Ottawa, 10,000 masks were donated to The Ottawa Hospital. Three of our team members organized and safely delivered the supplies. “We thank you! CLV Group is an amazing team. Your teams have been some of the best community advocates I’ve come across in 15 years of Charity work. You are all like a huge family and you act like it.” says Rob Gottschalk, Philanthropy Associate Vice President at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

In Hamilton, 20,000 masks were donated to the McMaster University Medical Centre (MUMC). The medical centre will evaluate for which purposes the masks donated will be used, whether it is for patients, non-medical staff or visitors. One thing is certain, this equipment is needed and will be put to good use to ensure the safety of everyone who enters the hospital.

In Montreal, primary schools and daycares are set to reopen on May 25; this reopening being a source of stress for a lot of people concerning their health and safety. We are happy to have been able to donate 1,000 masks to the Les premiers pas Daycare, located on the ground floor of 4875 Dufferin, an apartment building owned and managed by CLV Group. In addition, the Montreal school board (Commission scolaire de Montréal) was provided with 9,000 protective masks which will be distributed to Montreal public primary schools in the next weeks in preparation of the schools reopening. Masks will be used by primary schools’ staff.

We are constantly adjusting our measures and protocols for our staff and our residents, following the guidelines provided by the different governments and Health Authorities. Click here to visit the resources centre put in place to inform our residents on the current crisis.
