Sun Youth Montreal receives $50,000 from the Mike McCann Memorial Charity Golf Tournament

The Mike McCann Memorial Charity Golf Tournament raised a total of $758,000 back on September 12th, 2019. After a first donation of $100,000 to the Burlington Community Foundation, we met with Sun Youth Montreal last week to present their portion of the funds that were raised. The organization welcomed us on October 31st to receive our cheque in the amount of $50,000.

Sun Youth operates throughout the whole Montreal area and truly makes a difference in the lives of children and families in need. This year, the organization marks its 65th anniversary of helping the community. Sun Youth’s simple yet immense objectives are to alleviate poverty and prevent exclusion. Sun Youth’s operations are impressively large: from providing emergency services such as food, clothing, medical, financial and material assistance, to promoting physical, social and intellectual development of the youth through education, sports and recreation. Sun Youth is the helping hand for Montreal children and families. Crime prevention is also a goal for the organization, in order to make the community a safer and better place.
We met with the incredible staff at Sun Youth premises to present them with their cheque, where we also had the chance to get a glimpse of their work within the community.
